Welcome to The Family!
Pastor Ulysses Stephen King, Jr., Mrs. Tiffany, and the Memorial Tabernacle Family welcome you to the family. We invite you to become a member of a family of believers God is using to "reach to teach, teach to change" one person and one block at a time. We pray you will choose to attend the reunion to receive the love God has given us to give to you specifically! #Galatians610 #HarvestTime #HolySpiritRestatMTC

Notes From Sunday's Sermon
"LIFE THAT MATTERS" (
Luke 10:38-42)
Every responsible person feels the burden of carrying more than his or her fair share, and Martha felt the same way. It is too much to expect that the responsible person will never feel resentment.
The older son in the Parable of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) is a good example of this. We are often in situations when we have too much to do and not enough time to do it. We have trouble saying "no." A kind, polite, respectful no is the key to unlocking the power of spiritual disciplines. Saying "No" to others frees us to say "Yes" to God and listen to his Word.
Christ did not come to encourage us to be super-humans. He came to give us an abundant life, rest, peace and joy. Our relationship with Jesus is more important than anything else in life. Jesus said, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).
The heart of humility is found in serving others. Martha was on the right path. Her heart was in the right place, but she was focused on the wrong thing. She was focused on the work she was doing when, like Mary, she should have been focused on Jesus. -USK

Ladies, Saturday was simply beautiful at the Courageous Women Association's 9th Annual Free Shopping & Pampering for Victims and Survivors! Women came with a need. A need they did not expect for us to fulfill, but we knew who to give it to. So many women desired the things that we take for granted - housing, clothing, food, safety, loving spousal relationships, covering for their children, and the list only continues. We thank those of you who were interceding from afar as the prayers of the righteous availeth much! Please continue to be in prayer for women, children, families, and marriages....everywhere!
Thank you again to Ms. Toshonna Ross for being obedient to this call on her life and for birthing Courageous Women Association! You are honored, blessed, and fulfilled because of it!
