Disciple's Path Class Beginning in January
Newcomers and long-time members alike have found that taking "A Disciple's Path" deepens their relationship with God and their understanding of the history and current social principles of the United Methodist Church. This class is also a wonderful introduction to Methodist beliefs for those considering joining the church. Pastor Drew will facilitate the class Wednesdays at 6:00PM in Maxwell Hall beginning on January 18th. Child care is available

Support Children Like Malachi Weseman During the Wolfson's Children's Hospital Challenge!

Wolfson's Children's Challenge is a yearly event that honors 55 children, each representing thousands of kids cared for by Wolfson's Children's Hospital (WCH). This year, Pastor Drew and Jessica's son, Malachi, was chosen as one of WCH's 55 to share his inspiring story. The money raised ensures that every child continues to receive the world-class care they deserve. If you are interested in showing your support for Malachi and WCH through participation in or contributions to a relay team, please contact Mike or Leanne Finnie for more information at leannefinnie@gmail.com by December 20th. The race will be held January 28th in Jacksonville.

MUMC Softball Team Gearing up for 2017
MUMC's fifth season participating in the FDSL (Family Driven Softball League) is almost underway. The season begins in February and ends in early May. The games are played on Saturdays and each team plays for 60 minutes, but you are welcome to stay longer and fellowship with other Christians in our community.  This is a great atmosphere for the entire family, including a children's playground, concession stand, along with softball games. The fields are located at Springhill Baptist Church, Old Nassauville Rd, Fernandina Beach. If you enjoy Christian Fellowship and Glorifying God while participating in a softball league, this opportunity is for you! Players, coaches, family and fans are all welcome to join the fun and fellowship. For more information on participation, please email David Keay at davidkeay65@gmail.com
before the end of the year. .

Confirmation Classes for Youth and Adults
Confirmation is an opportunity to ask questions about your faith, learn about the beliefs of the Church, and make a commitment (or re-commitment) to follow Jesus. In the past, it was offered only to youth who wanted to join the church. This year, Memorial is also offering a separate class for adults. Both classes will be co-taught by Pastor Drew and Pastor Carrie beginning Sunday, January 15th at 3:30PM. If would like to sign, up contact Pastor Drew.

Volunteers Needed for Donut Ministry
Do you love Jesus? Do you love donuts? Do you have 2 hours every 3 months? MUMC is looking for individuals, classes, or families who would be interested in being part of a rotating schedule to pick up and set up the donuts in the Maxwell Hall kitchen on Sunday mornings. The church pays for everything upfront, so there is no out-of-pocket cost and no need to be reimbursed. Contact Pastor Drew to sign up for next year!
