Hello Everybody!

Seasons Greetings!

I'm trying to slow down the month of December as
it always seems like it ends up turning into
a race to the end of the year! There are so many great
shows and recordings happening, I want to make
sure I can enjoy them!

I have some great shots from last months Tropical Tour,
a new Christmas Song has been posted for your
enjoyment, and there are quite a few shows for you
to catch this month!

Here are a few shots from Panama for The Spotlight on Biocultural Leadership with Jane Goodall sponsored by Earthtrain, The Fundacion Danilo Perez, and Junglewood.
 


This shot was taken with Jane right after we had played my composition, "Sancho T Panza," at one of the concerts where she was a
 guest speaker! She has to be one of the most inspiring people on the
planet as she has now totally dedicated her life to trying to empower young people to become global conservation leaders!




This shot was from a performance at "The City of Knowledge" where
Jane was also an honorary speaker! Also pictured are vocalist
Raul Mezua and an Elder both from the indigenous Embera tribe.





This is Yulineth Castillo, a Kuna Yala Indian girl who sang a traditional
song that I arranged for voice and jazz quartet. She gave a
fearless performance that stole the show!


 I am proud to be the Executive Director of this  

Non-Profit Organization, Junglewood.  

 Junglewood promises to be an ecological launching pad, an example of the fusion and integration between the immensity of nature and the power of artistic creativity.

@USC Summer Guitar Seminar 2014
 
The 13th Annual USC Summer Guitar Seminar is right around the corner! After I graduated 
with a Masters Degree from The USC 
Thornton School of Music Studio/Jazz Guitar Department, they hired me back to design 
and direct this class.  The intensive 4 week 
seminar is designed to prepare high school 
guitarists for successful college and professional careers. We have a very high success rate of 
our graduates matriculating into USC,
 as well as other prestigious music programs 
such as New York University, 
The Berklee School of Music and 
The University of Miami.
