NPS Who?
By: Stacy Reidy, Customer Care Advocate
You can learn the technical aspects and calculation methods for NPS at https://www.netpromoter.com/know/ , and you can also here the personal explanation straight from someone who has learned it through real work experience.

When my boss first told me that we were going to start using NPS, I believe I looked at him a little strange. Now, when I tell others about NPS, I get the same look; funny but it’s true.

What is a Net Promoter Score and Why is it so important to CCC Technologies?

Meet CCC
Introducing...

Chris

Chris obtained a degree in Applied Electronics in the mid 1990s. He worked in automation for nearly 10 years, during which time he earned his MBA at night school. Chris transitioned to IT around 2004 when he acquired a number of certifications and ended up running his own MSP. He did this for nearly 10 years before deciding to work with bigger teams on larger projects, and joined the CCC family in July 2017.

Chris grew up in Oak Park and graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School. Throughout his college career he played lead guitar in a number of bands including an all original band after finishing college. He has composed music, taught guitar to kids while running several businesses with his father. Chris decided to go back to school to learn about technology in the early 1990s. The rest is history.

In his spare time Chris enjoys playing guitar (various styles), brewing beer and playing ball with his son.

MUTT of the MONTH!
Lilo

Lilo is an American Eskimo who is now 6 years old. She is affectionate, very eager to please, and just fun to be around. "Eskies" are a very smart breed who share resemblance with a Samoyed. Some Eskies can be a bit temperamental or territorial but with good training and lot of love and care you will fall in love with this breed.

She’s definitely not your average Eskie; all the cute and none of the sas. She’s also not much of a barker and gets along with everyone. she eats like a bird would with just a little here and a little there. With her nature behavior is so fun to watch (unless of course she’s napping), which she does a lot of. If Lilo could speak and you asked her what her hobby is she’d probably say its nap time.

She does a lot of tricks but the best is the high five because there's nothing better than a high five from your best friend.

Featured Adoption of the Month
Meet China Girl
China is waiting to meet her forever family, where she can feel safe and loved. She came to the kennel at just 6 months old, with her brother, and she finally went into foster at nine months old. She has made amazing strides in her foster home, is very smart and eager to please.

China has good house manners, she is not destructive, she is crate trained, and she is completely housebroken. China can be nervous around new people and strangers coming into the house, she does respond well to treats for good behavior. Once she warms up and knows you she will be your best friend and snuggle buddy. She loves to give kisses.

China is very active and loves to play. Fetch is her favorite game! She loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playmate. She is good with cats too! China does walk well on leash.

China would be a great addition to an active family without small children. She has a lot of love to offer.

The new rules of IT-business alignment in the digital era
By: Minda Zetlin, Contributing Writer, CIO | APR 23, 2018 3:00 AM PT
Dell and VMware CIO Bask Iyer has a complaint. He wants IT industry experts, speakers at IT conferences, and publications like this one to stop telling CIOs that if they don’t move with the times they are likely to lose their jobs. “Every meeting, every year, they say CIOs who don’t do something are going to get fired,” he says. “That narrative has to change.”

Instead, he thinks experts and executives should recognize that CIOs may have the most difficult role in the C-suite. “None of the executive jobs change as fast,” he says. “The rate of change of technology is exponential, and the increase in companies’ dependence on technology is growing exponentially as well. And humans can’t understand exponential increases.”

18 Tips to Keep Your Computer Clean

Cleaning your computer, components, and peripherals help keep everything in good working condition, helps prevent germs from spreading, and helps allow proper air flow. The picture shows a good example of just how dirty the inside of your computer case can get. Just looking at this picture it is immediately obvious that all the dust and dirt is going to prevent proper air flow and may even prevent the fan from working.
