Milford Youth Making Holiday Crafts
for Youth in the Dominican Republic!
|

Youth from the Milford Youth Center created Holiday crafts to be given to youth in the Boca Chica Region of the Dominican Republic! These gifts will be brought to the Dominican Republic next week, as part of a cultural exchange, where Dominican youth will in return make gifts for the Milford Youth who participated!
The crafts will be distributed with the sneakers that the JAG Youth Council and Milford Youth Center collected back in September at the first "Find Yourself Friday" Youth Event of the school year. The youth were able to collect over 100 pairs of sneakers. Due to the generosity of Milford youth and their families over 100 Dominican children will be able to enjoy a new or gently used pair of sneakers and a holiday craft!
We will be making more crafts to be sent over at the Jingle Bell Jamboree this Sunday at the Youth Center if you would still like to participate! We would also like to thank the Hockomock YMCA for donating t-shirts to be given out!
