Healthy Futures Milford
"Little Engine that Could"

Healthy Futures Milford thanks all those who helped make our first stamp installation on June 21st in front of the Milford Town Library a great successes. The installation, brief reception and kids' activities from 10:30 - 11:30 hosted by the library received very positive feedback. This sidewalk stamp with the message, All Aboard for a Healthy Milford, is one of twelve proposed stamps along the Little Engine that Could Historic Walk.

The "Little Engine that Could" Historic Walk identifies downtown historic sites and encourages families to walk and learn about Milford's history. The stamp has been generously donated by Hannaford's Supermarket and the installation will piggyback on the Downtown Revitalization Project and repair work with the support of Milford Highway Department.

Stay tuned for future activities organized by the Healthy Futures Coalition. We will be kicking off a Rethink Your Drink Challenge in the coming weeks. Consider taking part in this campaign by pledging to reduce sugar-sweetened beverage consumption.

Healthy Futures Milford is a community-driven coalition committed to promoting healthy eating and active living through programs, projects and policies, making the healthy choice the easy choice. For more information click here.
