JAG Youth Council awards two

Mini-Grant projects!

JAG Youth Council logo

The JAG Youth Council deliberated and decided on two mini-grant projects last week! The first project is to create a youth garden at the Milford Youth Center. Youth recognized the importance of providing a healthy alternative to the members of the youth center - which a garden with vegetables and fruit would make available. The second project is to improve the MYC Boxing Club, a very popular program at the Youth Center. The group will purchase new fitness equipment, which the leaders of the group will then utilize to develop their own techniques as well as help train other youth. In addition, the group plans to volunteer in the community.
