Why do we MEDDLE in other people's business??
Did not our mama's teach us- MYOB!!!!
WE interject ourselves in many things that we have no clue of what or how to do/fix and too often, UN-invited.
I have long preached the saga of the young Western Union new hire.
On his first day of work, he was assigned a desk, chair, pen and paper, and telephone.
His stated instructions for his job was to sit there all day until and IF he received instructions otherwise.
Break time arrived at 10:15 AM with no furthers instruction.
Soon after he enjoyed his hour long lunch break.
Then came the afternoon break and finally, toward the end of his shift, he could not stand the suspense any longer-he called his boss.
Loudly he complained, "I have sat here all day with little or nothing to do-WHAT is my job/WHAT am I here for?????
His employer patiently explained simply, "I told you that when and IF I needed you, I would call you!!!
Jesus further illustrated this principle in His parable of the pounds:
