Mabry Minute for Week of 07/30/17

Back to School

The countdown is on to the start of another great school year. We are getting the campus ready for the close to 800 kids to return. A HUGE thank you to the Cura Family of Cura Sod for donating sod for the entire front of campus!! We are working to beautify our spaces and make the campus great for kids to play. Thank you also to Joe Chiellini and Ameriscape Landscaping for contracting with us to complete the transformation.

We also need our families to help and pitch in! Campus Beautification Day will be Saturday August 5th from 8am to 10am. Bring your gloves and rake to help spread mulch. Kids with manpower are welcome to come out and dig in ! And don't forget WATER. We will try to provide some waters along with POPSICLES for kids but it gets hot so plan to stay hydrated.

New Family Event - Popsicle in the Park!

New Mabry families please join us at the annual Popsicles in the Park event on Sunday, August 6th from 12pm - 2pm. Located at Friendship Park (rain or shine). This event is a great way to meet other families and get valuable information on the school, PTA and other programs.

Meet the Teacher

The kids are getting excited and wondering who they will be have as a teacher. The front office is busy working and hope to them mailed out by the middle of this week.

Tuesday, August 8th, is Mabry's Meet the Teacher event.

Pre K is 12:30 - 1:30 pm

K - 2nd 1:00 - 2:00 pm

3rd - 5th 2:00 - 3:00 pm

Please report to your child's classroom at the scheduled time. Children and parents are encouraged to come to this event.

Student's First Day of School is Thursday, August 10th.

Dolphin Depot is now ONLINE!

Check out our website www.mabrypta.org and follow the link to the store. The Depot will be open for walk up purchases at both the Kindergarten Popsicle Party and Meet the Teacher.

Save Your Sneakers!

Once again, the Mabry 5th graders will have a used sneaker drive at the beginning of the school year. Please save your old sneakers when you are getting new ones for back to school. Be on the look out for when to bring them in to school.
