Mabry Minute for Week of 08/05/18
We are excited to announce that Mabry Elementary has been named a National PTA School of Excellence! As a National PTA School of Excellence, Mabry Elementary made significant progress to welcome and empower families to support student success and school improvements during the course of the 2017-2018 school year.

Mabry Elementary joins an elite group of schools recognized by the National PTA for its partnership with families through PTA to enrich the educational experience and overall well-being for all students.
New Family Event - Popsicle in the Park!
New Mabry families please join us at the annual Popsicles in the Park event on Sunday, August 5th from 12pm - 2pm. Located at Friendship Park (rain or shine).  This event is a great way to meet other families and get valuable information on the school, PTA and other programs. Plus, stock up on uniforms and spirit wear with the Dolphin Depot!
Meet the Teacher
Thursday, August 9th, is Mabry's Meet the Teacher event.
Pre K is 9:30 - 10:30 am
K - 2nd  10:00 - 11:00 am
3rd - 5th 11:00am - 12:00 pm
Please report to your child's classroom at the scheduled time. Children and parents are encouraged to come to this event. 
The Dolphin Depot will also be open in the Mabry Cafeteria from 9:30am - 12:00 pm.
EDUKIT Pickup
All Edukit school supply orders are to be picked up on Meet The Teacher day Aug. 9th from 9:30am - 12:00pm in the cafeteria.*

UNLESS  you paid extra for classroom delivery, in which case your child's kit(s), including AGP kids, will already be in his or her homeroom. 
  
Edukits are not automatically delivered to student's classrooms if not picked up in the cafeteria so if you foresee a problem picking up your child's Edukit on Aug. 9th, contact peggywalks@aol.com.
Update Your Online Directory
It's Time to Update Your Information in Mabry's Online Directory.
 
Existing Mabry families should have already received an email asking you to confirm/update your contact information in our online school directory. You can also add new students and update their teacher assignments.

Students return to school on Friday, August 10th and are allowed to wear spirit shirts. Welcome back!
Back to School Beautification
Join us on Saturday August 11th between 8 and 10am for a Back to School Beautification Bash! We will be weeding, spreading mulch, putting the finishing touches on our new garden and doing a few projects in the cafeteria. Bring gloves, rakes and lots of water.  Kids are welcome to come and help!  Thanks in advance for your help to keep Mabry beautiful!
Save the Date
Our first General Membership Meeting will be held Tuesday, August 21, at 6pm in the cafeteria. We hope to see you there!
