Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) is a non-surgical treatment option for Uterine Fibroids, which are the most common benign tumors in women. Visit the Hansen blog to hear one patient's story and learn more about how Magellan is being used to offer less invasive treatment for this condition that will affect half of all women by age 50.

Dr. Ripal Gandhi, Interventional Radiologist at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, used Magellan to perform a robot-assisted embolization of the right hypogastric artery prior to EVAR in a 69 year old patient. During a previous manual attempt, stable access could not be obtained and therefore advancement of a manual sheath over the steep aorto-iliac bifurcation was not possible. Dr. Gandhi used Magellan to successfully treat this patient. Watch the video here.
