We are looking forward to a fun filled weekend with our IAT friends and colleagues at Shin Pond Village!

In addition to our annual meeting of the members and the board, there will be plenty of opportunity to socialize and take in a variety of topics such as:

Visit to Lumberman's Museum
Rhonda Brophy, Lumberman's Museum Curator and Director has graciously offered to host us for a tour of the museum again this year.  We all have enjoyed these visits very much.  Come early on Friday, and visit with Rhonda to learn more about Maine's logging history and what's happening at the museum.

Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument Volunteer Training
Want to volunteer to work on the trails in the KW&WNM?  In order to do so, volunteers must be trained and certified. On Friday morning, Susan Adams will be leading those of us  in this training.     
The President's Salmon 
Catherine Schmitt, communications director for Maine Sea Grant and author will present to us views from her book,  "The President's Salmon: Restoring the King of Fish and Its Home Waters".

In the book, Catherine traces the river's past from the post-glacial era to the present day, and explains how humans harnessed that river for their own needs, often at the expense of the Atlantic Salmon.
Mt Chase Lodge
We are looking forward to dinner Friday evening at Mt. Chase Lodge with owners Mike and Lindsay Downing (who is also an IAT Board member).

Dinner at Mt. Chase Lodge always receives wonderful reviews and we are looking forward to this three course dining experience with local Maine cuisine.

Stars Over Shin Pond
Join us Saturday evening after dark for a look into the beautiful skies over Shin Pond led by Nancy HathawayBob Marvinney.  Stargazers have always enjoyed this unique and spectacular event.
