We all know that March 17th is St. Patrick's Day and if you go into any store there is plenty of green to go around to help you celebrate. But there are some lesser known holidays during March that I would like to highlight in the hopes that you take advantage of that day to do something different and special for yourself or for someone you know. If you enjoy the day enough, you might even put this special day in your calendar for next year.

My challenge for you is to choose 2 of the below listed holidays and spread the word by celebrating and telling others to do the same. Who knows what you might find or what you learn about yourself.
Enjoy!!

As always, please pass along this information to someone you feel may benefit from this information.

Sincerely,

From The Positive Perspective......

Other unique holidays in March:

March 9th is Get Over It Day - In observance of this day, I ask you to please think of something that is holding you down from your past. Think of a grudge that you are holding that needs to be let go. Is there something that bothers you every day that someone does that is just a part of their personality? Do you enjoy this person's company enough to just let that habit go and enjoy your time with them? How about a ceremony to let the item go? Write it down and shred it or say the item out loud and give yourself permission to get it go. Be as corny or formal as you like.

March 12th is Genealogy Day - In observance of this day, wouldn't it be great to learn something about your heritage that you didn't know. Talk to an elder family member and ask them some questions. Keep going until you learn something that you are proud of or something that you could share with a friend. You might find out where your love for nature or your funny-sized big toe came from. How about if you knew that several people in your bloodline were all in the same field of work as you?

I enjoyed finding out that one of my family members from several generations ago was an inventor and contributed to the patents for the Cement Mixer and the Meat Slicer. Pretty cool? Let me know what you find.

March 15th Is Incredible Kid Day - We all know an incredible kid. Maybe it's even your own child. Maybe it is someone you see often in the neighborhood or a child from your place of worship that is always helping others. A child who is battling something with his or her health that shows extreme determination to overcome this challenge. What would it take to acknowledge such a person? Send them a card (if you remember how to hand write) or use a service like www.sendoutcards.com and create a personal message to this extraordinary person. A hug and a," Job well done" can go a long way for a child. Whatever your style, acknowledge one incredible kid in your life on that day.

March 26th is Make Up Your Own Holiday Day - How creative can you be? Find something that you think should be celebrated and tell the world. Maybe Hallmark will see your message and even make it official. This year, March 26th is on a Tuesday. That night is my night away from the office and I am declaring that day, for me, to be Pamper Myself day. Already have the haircut with highlights scheduled. After that, it will be time to do some stretches, hot tea, Netflix and Lots of Candles burning for relaxation. What will you create as your own holiday on this day?

March 30th is I Am In Control Day - If we think of our life in different sections or compartments, could we pick one of them to work on a little harder today so that we feel more in control of it? For example, what if we thought of ourselves spiritually, emotionally, socially, financially and intellectually. Could we pick one of those areas and investigate just one thing we could do to feel more in control of that area? Or, if we are feeling out of control in many areas, could we take time to examine ourselves and find one thing where we ARE in control? Maybe you have a lot of debt, you do not like your job and your family life is struggling, but you are taking on-line classes to move ahead in your job or you started a new exercise routine. Acknowledge to yourself that these are the things that I do have control over. We all have some good in us, can you find what is good in you and acknowledge that?

I hope you enjoy your month of March and get to celebrate one or two new holidays. If you struggle with sorting or anything else out, contact me through my website, www.dabalmft.com and lets come up with a plan together.

Stay well.
