Hello

The Downtown Hotel and Conference Center project continues to gain momentum through letters and postcards of support as well as testimony; all in an effort to help secure the public-private partnership needed to bring the project to fruition.

On March 8, the House Appropriations Committee heard testimony on HB 1474, “Economic Development - Maryland Stadium Authority - Downtown Frederick Conference Center.” This bill, introduced by Delegate Krimm, would authorize the Maryland Stadium Authority to support capital costs for the construction of the conference center portion of the Downtown Hotel Project. Public-private partnerships like this are almost exclusively used to bring a project like this to a downtown.

This project has generated overwhelmingly positive support from our business community, merchants, partners, leaders, and residents. If this project is important to you, please take less than five minutes to let local and state leaders know by filling out a short online form .

Best,
