Mindy Haas
Florida PTA President

"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, nor to worry about the future, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly". This is a quote by Guatama Buddah, a quote that I have had to think about each day as I wake and feel overwhelmed before I even get out of bed.

The life of a dedicated PTA volunteer is a rewarding one, but one that does not come without being overwhelmed, judged or criticized by others. So each day I have to put my feet on the ground, thicken my skin and keep doing the work of our association and say: Today is a new day, how can I be the "Best Me" today? My answer to myself is: Live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.
