Have you been wondering what's going on along the Old No. 9 walking trail?  This is utility work by Kendall West Utilities.  They are laying water lines in the City's right-of-way, in order to supply water to new development occurring on the far north side of Boerne. Some of the Big Toothed maple trees are being relocated to a new home at the Herff Farm. Kudos to all of the partners working together to save as many trees as possible!

Speaking of trees - normally this would be a great time to prune oak trees due to the cold weather. But February has been kinda weird this year.  Be aware of oak wilt on live oak and red oak trees. This deadly disease will destroy your oak trees in no time. If you notice discolored leaves or abnormal bark, especially on red oaks, call a professional right away. If you must trim the oak trees in your yard, be sure to seal all of the wounds , immediately, with paint.
For more information about the causes and management of oak wilt con tact the Kendall County Extension Office at 830-249-9343.
2017 Art al Fresco - displays begin in March
The new series of public art pieces, selected by the city's public art committee will be installed this month.  The exhibit opening is planned for Saturday, March 25 and will be held once again at the Patrick Heath Public Library.

Natural Gas Piping Inspection

Natural gas customers are responsible for the inspection and maintenance of customer-owned natural gas piping (piping from the meter to the structure). Piping should be periodically inspected for leaks and/or corrosion; then repaired if any unsafe condition is discovered.  Plumbers and heating contractors can assist in the locating, inspecting, and repair of customer-owned piping.  If you have questions regarding the maintenance of customer-owned natural gas piping, call the Public Works office at 830-248-1538.

Be sure to dial 811 and request a "utility line locate" before digging in that spring garden!

Do you know who to call for vehicle registration information? That would be the Kendall County Courthouse at 830-249-9343.

Texas state law governs firearms and because it does not prohibit the carrying of a long gun (shotgun/rifle) in a public place, a person is generally allowed to carry those weapons in public places in the state of Texas.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action).

Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
