Dr. Lesley Bautista '05, currently doing  her residency in anesthesiology at Memorial University, travelled to Port-au-Prince, Haiti with Team Broken Earth Newfoundland in February. During the medical mission she was part of the operating room team and helped provide anesthesia to Haitian patients getting surgery by the Newfoundland surgical team. Christening of the Newfoundland Victor

On February 4th, 2017, President Tom McGrath attended the  christening of the Newfoundland Victor, named after proud St. Bon's Alumnus Victor Carew 1909, who was killed in action during World War I. A reception was held at The Rooms, where both Victor and his brother Vincent Carew 1907 - also killed in action - were honoured. Both men were member of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and were killed in France - Vincent on July 10th, 1917 and Victor on November 20, 1917.

Guests gather around the Newfoundland Victor at the ship's Christening Ceremony.
The ship was named after 1909 Alumnus Victor Carew, honouring his service during World War I.

Katherine Moffatt '14 and Ryan McDonald '13 with their Rose Bowls

  • Congratulations to Katherine Moffatt '14 and Ryan McDonald '13 on winning the Kiwanis Senior Rose Bowls! Ryan took home 1st Place for voice while Katherine placed 1st in instrumental with trumpet.
  • March 25th, 2017 marks the 110th Anniversary of the St. Bon's Alumni Committee. Started in 1907 as "The Old St. Bonaventure's Association", the committee has seen several reincarnations through the years. As an all boys school for many years, the association has historically only involved the St. Bon's Old Boys. We are happy to now serve as a co-ed committee dedicated to connecting the St. Bon's Old Boys and the graduates of the "new" Jesuit-founded St. Bonaventure's College, which opened in 1999.

We regret to inform you of the passing of:
David Neville '66
Douglas Thompson '52
Peter Byrne '60
Hon. James A. McGrath, a founding Board member of St. Bon's in 1999
