Zagoren Lecture Featuring Patricia Teffenhart '01
Join us for an intriguing  Zagoren Lecture, titled "The #InconvenientTruths & #ComplexRealities of 2017," featuring Patricia Teffenhart '01,  Executive Director of the New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault, on Tuesday, March 21, at 7:00 pm, at the Kathleen Ludwig Global Village Living Learning Center. Please share our lecture information on social media. This lecture will dive below the surface of statistics and sound bites to engage the audience in a rich conversation about the intersections of oppression in the anti-sexual violence movement. The lecture is free and open to the public and honors the late Adelaide Marcus Zagoren '40, beloved alumnae leader and philanthropist.

Join us for YAN's Sisterhood Book Club from 5:00-6:30 pm, before the Zagoren Lecture, for a discussion of "Crazy Love: A Memoir," by Leslie Morgan Steiner. We are gathering at the Ruth Schilling Hennessy Alumnae Center before walking over to the lecture. Come to Spring Alumnae Council Meeting

The Spring Alumnae Council Meeting will be held on April 22, from 8:45 am to 12 noon, at the Douglass Lounge on the second floor of the Douglass Student Center . The meeting is open to all voting members of the Council, which include among others, class officers, club and network representatives, committee chairs, board of directors and alumnae members of departments.

Get involved and excited about Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2017: Celebrating 95 Years of Alumnae Sisterhood, to be held on Friday, June 2 and Saturday, June 3. This year we herald the Vanguard Class of 1967, who celebrate their 50th reunion, as well as milestone Reunion classes ending in the 2s and 7s. We need volunteers to help at Reunion during the weekend. We need you! The Victoria Dabrowski Schmidt '42 Workplace and Professional Development Symposium Planning Committee invites all alumnae interested in leading a career development workshop at this fall's Symposium to submit a one-two page proposal, no later than April 21 to be considered, to Chair Lisa Kaado '03 invites your participation in the Planning Committee meeting on  Monday, April 24 at 7:00 pm at the Ruth Schilling Hennessy Alumnae Center.

All class presidents and fund agents, please join us on Wednesday, March 29, for our next Alumnae Outreach Committee Meeting at the Ruth Schilling Hennessy Alumnae Center (or you may participate by phone). We will have a pizza dinner at 6:00 pm with the AADC callers and start our meeting promptly at 6:30 pm. We will review upcoming AADC initiatives, discuss our class AADC Annual Appeal totals, share successes and tips on how to find and connect with alumnae.

Congratulations to  Carol Tecla Christ '66, First Woman Named University of California Berkeley Chancellor
Carol T. Christ, Class of 1966 and former president of Smith College, was named the next chancellor of the University of California at Berkeley on March 16, and is the first woman in the school's 149-year history to hold the position.  Congratulations to an outstanding leader and inspiring member of alumnae sisterhood!

AADC New Jersey Central Regional Connection Group Spring Gathering Hosted in Lawrenceville
The AADC New Jersey Central Regional Connection Group invites alumnae to connect at their Spring Gathering hosted by Mary Kelleher DiMartino '85 in her Lawrenceville home  on Sunday, April 2, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm. AADC President Jeanne Fox '75 and Executive Director Valerie Anderson '81, together with Board Vice President of Program Debbie Lynch '79, will greet alumnae, share updates and the many ways to get involved with the AADC.

Florida AADC Regional Connection Group Gatherings in  Naples/Fort Myers & Palm Beach/Boca Raton Area

Snowbirds, residents and vacationers are welcome at two upcoming Florida luncheons. Special remarks will be shared by AADC President Jeanne Fox '75 and Executive Director Valerie Anderson '81 about our v ibrant and dynamic sisterhood and the AADC. The first of two gatherings will be hosted on Monday, March 27, by Kathleen Whitehead Ludwig '75, in her Naples home. The second, for alumnae in the Palm Beach/Boca Raton area, will be held at the Boca West Country Club, in Boca Raton, on Tuesday, March 28 (cost is $42.00 per person).

AADC Central New Jersey Regional Group George Street Playhouse Outing

Members of the AADC New Jersey Regional Group invite all alumnae to join them for a theater outing at New Brunswick's own George Street Playhouse on Friday, May 5, beginning at 6:00 pm. We will enjoy dinner at a nearby restaurant and a performance of a wonderful comedy, "The Curvy Widow." The theater and dinner are a short walk from the downtown train station. There is also ample parking available near the Livingston Avenue and George Street location. Stay tuned, registration coming soon.

Save the Date for the AADC New Jersey Southern Regional Connection Group One Day University Event and Luncheon in Historic Cape May

Members of the AADC New Jersey Southern Regional Connection Group welcome all alumnae for an inspiring One Day University lecture and luncheon in historic Cape May on Saturday, June 24. We will attend the program a t the Cape May Convention Center, which will include three lectures, one titled "Hamilton vs. Jefferson: The Rivalry that Shaped America," given by Rutgers University Distinguished Professor of American Studies Louis Masur. The discounted group rate is $80 per person, which includes a luncheon generously hosted at a nearby restaurant by Kristin Long '78.

Thanks to alumnae who shared a wonderful afternoon at the Sisterhood Book Club and Soul Food Potluck jointly hosted by the AADC Young Alumnae and Black Alumnae Networks at the Ruth Schilling Hennessy Alumnae Center on February 25. Our discussion featured bell hook's book, "all about l ove," and plenty of delicious soul food dishes.

AADC Pride Network
The AADC Pride Network promotes support, networking and celebration among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer-identified and allied alumnae. To get involved, contact Chair Sue Estler '66.

Asian Alumnae Network
AAN seeks to foster a community among alumnae of Asian cultures, including but not limited to: Indian, Chinese, Pakistani, Japanese, Korean, Bangladeshi, Filipino and Sri Lankan. We are looking for an alumna to chair this network. Contact  Dineo Thompson '05 at the AADC to help re-start this group.
Latina Alumnae Network
The Latina Alumnae Network (LAN) seeks to foster a community among Latina alumnae. If you would like to chair this network, please contact Dineo Thompson '05.
