AWF UMM SPRING ADVANCE 2017
We rejoice that another year has come and provides us the opportunities to work together to declare the centrality of Christ in every man's life.

We have an exciting opportunity for the men of the AWF Conference at our Annual Men's Advance Spring Meeting, April 21st-22nd at Blue Lake Methodist Camp. Our keynote speaker for this year's Advance is a dynamic speaker who lives and encourages the growth of Men's Ministry. David Dusek is Founder & Executive Director of Rough Cut Men Ministries. Rough Cut Men is NOT a program or a presentation or a Bible Study. It is an interactive experience that integrates full-blown Hollywood action movie clips (high masculine content), relevant current events, stories of guys just like us and Biblical principles designed as specific life application skills from God.

Our own Bishop, Bishop David Graves, will join with us and deliver the closing message on Saturday morning. Additional information and registration materials will be available shortly. Save the date, April 21st-22nd, and join the men of AWF Conference for an outstanding event.

We look forward to you attending the meeting and sharing with your fellow United Methodist Men.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HELEN VALENTINE!
Member Helen Valentine will celebrate her 100th birthday on April 6th. She is very excited and for several years now she has talked about how she is almost 100. Please keep her in prayer for good health so she can enjoy her special celebration.

Helen & her husband Bill starting attending Woodlawn at the old church.  Bill sang in the choir in the old church and both of them were active at the old Noah's Ark. They had both moved to Mathison Center and Bill has since passed. Helen is currently at Summers Landing. It would be great to flood her with cards for her 100th birthday from her Woodlawn church family. So be on the lookout for cards to buy or make to send to her for April 6th. You can either bring your cards to the church office for delivery or you can mail them to the following address.

WE CARE
There is no doubt this ministry is very blessed with the ongoing support from the church membership. Your generosity makes it possible for us to fulfill the needs of those coming to us for assistance. Special thanks to the Joy Bible Study Class for supplementing our food inventory during the past several weeks of February. The month of March we are in need of canned fruit, Beefaroni, pancake syrup, large jars of peanut butter & jelly.

The We Care offering will be on Communion Sunday, March 12th.

THE CDC'S KIDS CORNER
What a fun month it has been learning about and celebrating God's love! The children had so much fun at their Valentine's Day parties! We also have been learning about winter and winter animals. The 4 year old class did a science experiment with ice and salt to make frost! What a fun time of year!

Some of our staff were able to attend the Party Like A Rockstar fundraising event for the Wesley Burnham Foundation last month. It was a fun night, and they raised a lot of money to giveback to the community in scholarships! As always, we are so thankful for the foundation! They provided 3 children with schoalrships this year!

COLUMBARIUM -
WOODLAWN MEMORIAL GARDEN
A Sacred Place Where People Are Remembered
What is the  Woodlawn Memorial Garden?
Woodlawn Memorial Garden is home to our columbarium, a free-standing structure comprised of niches or compartments in which urns containing cremated remains are placed. Each niche is enclosed by a stone front, on which the name and years of birth and death of the deceased are engraved.

Why is the columbarium  important to me?
It provides peace of mind. Being prepared means your loved ones won't have the burden of trying to manage your wishes and the cost that goes with it. It is accessible and comforting and is the only columbarium in Panama City Beach.

Who may be inurned  in the columbarium?
  • Members of Woodlawn United Methodist Church
  • Immediate family of Woodlawn UMC members
  • Members of another UMC in the Alabama-West Florida Conference
For further information on the Columbarium or understanding the scripture as it relates to your final resting place, visit our website at  Columbarium  or call the Church office at (850)234-3196.
