CNG Training & Certification Courses Now Open for Registration - 
Course is April 10 to April 14, 2017

This course presents an introduction to operating vehicles using compressed natural gas (CNG). Students are required to gain an understanding of CNG, regulations, component and line fabrications, driver education requirements, and diagnostic testing comĀ­ponents. Students will apply basic competencies to grasp in-depth workings of CNG vehicles.  {more}

The Grid is Getting Cleaner: Most New Electricity Capacity in 2016 Came From Wind, Solar and Natural Gas

More than 27 gigawatts (GW) of electricity generating capacity was added to the U.S. power grid during 2016, the largest amount of added capacity since 2012. These additions more than offset the retirement of roughly 12 GW of capacity, resulting in a net capacity gain of nearly 15 GW, the largest change since 2011. These net additions follow a 4 GW net capacity decrease in 2015-the largest net drop in capacity recorded in the United States.  {more}

BMW Releases Detail of Expanded EVgo Program
  
BMW of North America has announced details on the expansion of the ChargeNow by EVgo programs, including ChargeNow DC Fast, to more than 50 metro areas in the U.S., encompassing the entire EVgo public charging network, the largest public DC Fast charging network in the nation. {more}

Blue Bird to use $4.4 million Department of Energy Award to Develop Electric School Bus
In December 2016, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced that it would be awarding $15 million to organizations in an effort to accelerate the adoption of advanced and alternative fuel vehicles. Blue Bird Corp., a bus manufacturer located in Fort Valley, Ga., was presented the largest amount at $4.4 million in order to develop a zero-emission, 100% V2G electric school bus.

DOE Data: Half of the United Sate Broke Through Ethanol "Blend Wall" in 2015
Recent data from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) shows that gasoline consumed in 25 states and the District of Columbia contained more than 10.0 percent ethanol on average in 2015, demonstrating that the so-called "E10 Blend Wall" continues to crumble.{more}
