March 2018 DCYF Newsletter
Making San Francisco a Great Place to Grow Up!
|
|
The DCYF Family was honored to stand with and support hundreds of San Francisco young people at
National Walkout Day
on March 21. We were impressed and inspired by these brave, passionate youth and their dedication to making change in our country, and we want to help them keep their momentum going. The best way to do that: if you work with high school-age youth, register to bring a group of young people to the City's annual
Youth Advocacy Day
, which will take place on Thursday, April 26.
During Youth Advocacy Day, 200 San Francisco high school students will come together to exchange ideas with one another, advocate on behalf of their communities by speaking directly with City and school district officials, and learn about and register for programs and resources specifically for San Francisco youth. The 2018 Youth Advocacy Day theme is
"We Are the City,"
and workshops and panels have been organized throughout the day to explore how young people are a part of the social fabric of San Francisco.
