CONGRATULATIONS TO ALAN HINES OF LAWRENCE, KS FOR MAKING THE TEAM!

Equifest 2018
We were out and about at Equifest in Topeka. It was nice to meet so many of you. Thank you for stopping by, saying hello, and signing up!

The return of horse and greyhound racing to Kansas will take each and every one of us contacting our legislators and telling our friends to do the same.
Animal Rights Groups Spread Tall-Tales
At the present time, animal rights groups are spinning tales about how poorly greyhounds are treated. We know these accusations to be patently false. We know that people who choose greyhound racing as a career do so because they love greyhounds and enjoy working with them.

Be on the look out for these tactics. Watch your local paper's "Letters to the Editor" section and social media. Let us know if you see anything and make sure you help us spread the truth about greyhound racing.
Visit Your Legislator in Person
Legislators returned to the statehouse Wednesday of this week from an extended weekend. Most likely, this meant your senator and representative was be back in your district attending legislative coffees and forums to report back to you, their constituents, on the work they did. We hope you were able to stop by one of these venues to express your displeasure that our bill has not been moved out of committee. It's high time this legislation passed.

If you didn't catch them them this past weekend, you still have plenty of opportunities. Many legislators return home on weekends and visit with constituents. Check your legislators' website, their newsletters, or your local paper to find out if your legislator will be hosting a forum or coffee.

Invite three friends attend with you as well. At the forums, specifically ask your legislator to support House Bill 2545 and the return of racing to Kansas. Keep reminding your legislators that bringing horse and greyhound racing back to Kansas:
  1. Grows the Kansas economy.
  2. Provides new tax revenue to our local and state governments with zero investment on their part.
  3. Does away with the state picking winners and losers by leveling the playing field between state-owned and privately-owned casinos
LET'S RACE!!!

Sincerely,
The Greater Kansas Racing Alliance
