March 2018 Prayers
" Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying,'Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.'” -Matthew 26:27-28
Week 1: March 1-8
Empowerment for Women
Prayers of thanks for efforts to empower women economically. Pray for International Care Ministries in the Philippines and its Transform Project , which builds capacity for progress out of poverty. 97% of program participants are women.

International Women’s Day is March 8. There has been an unprecedented focus on sexual violence and harassment and discrimination against women on a global scale. Pray for continued awareness and progress leading to change.
Week 2: March 9-16
Community-based Hunger Programs
The Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Monrovia, Liberia initiated a program to provide food every Sunday morning from 7:00 to 10:00 am. Pray for the program and that it can be extended to provide more basic needs.

The Kunri Christian Hospital in Pakistan holds a monthly Wall of Kindness  to provide donated food and clothes to people in need. Prayers of thanks for the program and those who support it.
Week 3: March 17-23
Infrastructure
March 22 is World Water Day . Prayers of thanks for the work of Living Waters for the World Clean Water U project to train mission team leaders to work with communities on solutions to lack of clean water.

Malawi is experiencing power outages due to an aging and underpowered electrical grid. Praise for alternative solutions, such as a solar power system to support the work of MedSend in Malawi. 
Week 4: March 24-31
Holy Week
Praise for the loving sacrifice of Jesus, who suffered and died so we may have eternal life. "Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying,'Drink from it, all of you.
