Ongoing Activities - Hyde County UAV Project
 Bosh UAV

Since April 2012 the Hyde County Office of Planning & Economic Development has been working with multiple project partners to put Hyde County at the forefront of unmanned aviation in North Carolina. UAVs are approved by the FAA to fly near the Hyde County Airport for agricultural purposes; surveying cropland with UAVs is significantly more affordable than using planes. Check out this great video about the project produced by NC State University.

Hyde County is seeking bids for the mowing services of twelve locations. You can print the bid documents from our webpage or pick up a bid package at the Hyde County Utilities Office (1095 Main St. Swan Quarter, N.C. 27885).
