An Important Message about Emergency Alerts from Kent School

We will no longer use the ParentReach Robocall to inform you of school delays, closings, early dismissals or other all-school emergency alerts. All notices of that nature will come to you only via the Kent School App. If you have not already done so, please download our free app for iPhone or Android. Be sure that you have notifications ON. We will start this practice immediately following spring break.
We will continue to post messages on Facebook, Twitter, our website and with WBAL

Admission Reminders

Re-enrollment contracts are due tomorrow, 3/22.

Osprey Day - March 31, 2017

Osprey Day is an annual day of service to Kent School. Our students and employees will be engaged in campus beautification projects. The students will be working in mixed age groups which helps build on our strong sense of school community. The primary project for Osprey Day 2017 will be the completion of our school rain garden. The students will be planting the garden with Unity Landscaping. Special thanks go to Kingstown Farm, Home and Garden for supplying all of the plants for our rain garden. Follow us on our social media outlets to watch  our progress throughout the day.

Osprey Day will also be an online fundraising day for our greater School community. Help spread the word via social media and encourage giving by sharing your stories and the series of "Reasons to Give" videos. The first, "Academic Excellence" is below:

Word of the Week

In celebration of spring's arrival, our word of the week is Equinox
e·qui·nox
noun
  1. the time or date (twice each year) at which the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are of equal length (about September 22 and March 20).

To become spring means accepting the risk of winter.
          - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Some old-fashioned things like sunshine and fresh air are hard to beat.
  -Laura Ingalls Wilder

Although it is hard to see here, our very own sign of spring returned to the nest today.
Welcome back OSPREY!
