March Reminders: Frost Laws & More
Frost laws are in effect in many of the communities we serve. These are seasonal restrictions on weight limits and speeds. The purpose is to restrict weight and speed of vehicles to help prevent cracks and fractures to road surfaces during the freeze-thaw cycle.

Due to the lower speeds and increased trips to the landfill, our drivers will be running slower in some areas. This is a good time to remind your residents that our customers have a collection day, not a collection time. This blog post explains why. Another blog post explains why a customer's trash may not have been picked up. Both are great to share with residents at this time of the year and throughout the year.

Other reminders:

  • Below you will find a blog post about waste acceptance, but as a reminder, here is a link to our waste acceptance guidelines.
  • Yard waste service begins in April. Those interested in this service can get more information on our yard waste page.
