Students from Garrett, Allegany, Washington and surrounding counties wishing to spend a week of their summer learning about career options in the healthcare field by experiencing health professions up close and personal can find applications for the Exploring Careers in Health Occupations (ECHO) summer program on the AHEC West website: www.ahecwest.org.
This year the application includes a brief video uploaded by the student as to why they want to pursue a career in health or are interested in the ECHO program.

ECHO is a residential summer program for high school students that allows them to live on campus at Frostburg State University while exploring a wide variety of career options in the health professions.
Students gain hands-on experiences in team building (think: white water rafting!) while undergoing an action-packed week of health professions adventures.
