On Saturday, February 10, more than 300 guests
gathered at Architectural Artifacts for
THRIVE. Reimagined in 2017, Connections' signature event was sold-out for the second year in a row. And while the 2017 event achieved record-breaking fundraising, this year's event surpassed last year's totals by more than $50,000 - raising an unprecedented $400,000.
THRIVE presented guests with the opportunity to sample tastings from 11 local restaurants, including La Principal, Osteria Via Stato, and Peckish Pig, as well as test their olfactory senses at The Spice House's Aroma Challenge. Later in the evening, tables competed to win their favorite dessert, including the Pavlova, prepared and served by celebrity pastry chef Gale Gand herself.
THRIVE was "
one of the most enjoyable fundraising galas we can remember - and we've been to a few," commented Board Member Mark Tendam. It's a sentiment that has been expressed by many since the event.
Our sincerest thanks to all who supported THRIVE and made our success possible. Special thanks to our 2018 planning committee, led by co-chairs Jill Greer and Mary Kay Halston.
