Installation and Post Construction Maintenance of Stormwater BMPs

  

  

This presentation will discuss the design and function, installation and post construction issues associated with some of the most popular stormwater BMPs in Ohio. We will begin with a general overview of several stormwater BMPs including Permeable Pavement, Bioretention ponds, Bio-cells, rain gardens vegetated swales (open drainage) and infiltration systems. We will cover phasing of construction of the stormwater BMPs and the pitfalls associated with various sequencing stratagies. Several case studies of existing systems will be reviewed.  

 

  

Presenter: 

Chris Fleming is responsible for project management and site design for many types of commercial site development including healthcare, corporate/office buildings, retail, and hospitality as well as K-12 and higher education campuses, recreational facilities, sports/entertainment complexes, and streetscapes throughout Ohio. He is a founding member if the EMH&T's NEXTGENERATIONGREEN™ (NGG) Technical Committee.
