Friends of Collegedale Public Library 2018 Emily McDonald Local Author Series opens with Rachel Williams-Smith, Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication at Southern Adventist University.  Her book, Born Yesterday, is her account of being raised  in religious extremism and primitive conditions, and she shares her story to nurture hope that transformation is possible, no matter the challenges. The Author Series is free and open to the public.

Collegedale Public Library's weekly program for school-aged students, features Traci Bennett-Hobek's Outdoor Classroom this week. The topic is "Sunny Side Up!" The Sun is the center of our solar system. What would happen if the sun didn't show up to do its job in the morning? Bring your "shades" for this program!

Techscape is our new monthly technology club for 'tweens and teens.  Each month, we will explore a different technology topic or skill. We will spend the hour learning about the Library's 3D printer.

for Display Outside the Library 

Bricks are being placed outside the Library for display! For $25, you can have a brick placed in the brick display. We are close to having enough bricks for a new order, so hurry in and order your bricks.  
This is an ongoing fundraiser for Friends of Collegedale Public Library.

Calling all knitters, crocheters, and other yarn artists! Come join us for a program for all yarn crafters. We'll be sharing our past and current projects, information on our favorite materials and suppliers, and favorite pattern sources. This program is open to all ages and abilities (including wannabe yarn geeks!). So bring your questions, comments, and current WIP (work in progress). This group meets every other Saturday, so mark your calendars.
