Saying a-a-a-a-a-h to Ayurvedics.
Earlier this month, a handful of Guildees trekked up to Haverhill for member Alexis Crawford’s primer on ayurveda: what it is and how to integrate its practices into daily life. Attendees got worksheets to determine which of three Ayurvedic categories they fell into, based on numerous characteristics. All humans are either vata, pitta, kapha, or a combination thereof. Alexis then offered diet, exercise and relaxation tips for individuals in each category. Fascinating! This 5,000 year old Hindu philosophy is aimed at keeping body, mind and soul in balance. Alexis will soon be certified to consult on this unique wellness regime.
