Our vision is to have a community where no kittens are born wild on the street, no cat  capable of living in a home is lacking one, and no feral cats are wanting for food, water,  and appropriate care and concern.
SAFCC awarded Petco Foundation grant

We are thrilled to announce that SAFCC  has been awarded a grant for $5,000 from the Petco Foundation . The grant was open to community cat groups whose primary mission is TNR. The grant money will be used to fund our Subsidy Program, which supports the San Antonio Humane Society and the Animal Defense League so the spay/neuter fee for our trained trappers is only $20.  We want to express our appreciation and gratitude to the Petco Foundation for their support and contribution to our efforts to reduce the outside cat population in San Antonio!
Sylvester & Lucky Girl, 3 months post-op
Update on Sylvester and Lucky Girl

Thanks to the generosity of many of our supporters who donated to the GoFundMe fundraiser, two of the cats with severe conjunctivitis, Sylvester and Lucky Girl, have had surgery and are doing much better!

Sylvester is one of the sweetest cats. He has been blind since he was 4 weeks old so he gets around great and quickly adapts to new surroundings. He jumps from bed to dresser or chair with no problem. He sees with his heart and loves life.

The same could be said for petite Lucky Girl. She is a total lover and is not shy at all. Both cats are available for adoption!

We will post updates on the other three cats who needed the same surgery as they have their surgeries and progress. Thank you again to all who helped!

Thank you ASPCA and Helotes Humane Society!

Helotes Humane Society invited us to participate in the ASPCA 9 Lives Live Log and Prospurr grant. We distributed 219 bags of food to 11 colony caretakers who feed over 370 cats in the San Antonio area.

Many thanks to Lorraine Cantu and Anna Sanchez who drove a 22' truck up to Ft. Worth and back to deliver the five awarded pallets of cat food. You ladies rock!!
Ben and Jerry on News 4 Pet Pals

Ben and Jerry, two of SAFCC special-needs cats were on the San Antonio Living Show on News 4 San Antonio during Alanna Sarabia's Pet Pals Segment. They were true TV purr-fessinals! Check out their segment HERE.

These guys lost a majority of their eyesight from an eye infection while still kittens. They navigate just fine and are a perfect pair. Their bond is so strong that when they get separated in the house they call out for each other. Ben and Jerry are looking for a loving family to adopt them as a pair.
SAFCC wins $500 for medical care
A big thank you to all who voted in the AAPAW Facebook Contest. The San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition got the most votes and will receive a $500 medical voucher to be applied to the animals in our care. This opportunity was made possible by AAPAW, a wonderful animal welfare organization that supports local rescues in many ways.

There were so many worthy organizations in the contest, we are grateful for your vote!
