MARCH NEWS
March / 6 / 2017
Dear Family and Friends of Forest Hills,

Spring is right around the corner and we are already preparing here at Forest Hills! Our Gardening Club is champing at the bit and starts meeting this month. There are many other exciting programs coming up with our Life Enrichment staff, so be sure to take a look at the highlights below!

I want to thank you all for your patience as we continue to search for a replacement for (the irreplaceable) Shirley Chatlin. We have conducted several interviews and we hope to have a narrowed down list of candidates soon. Once we that happens, I expect to involve the Resident Council in making the final selection for our new Administrative Assistant.

In other news, I am pleased to announce that Dining Services has brought back our weekly "Specialty Stations."  Recently we enjoyed a hot fudge station as well as a delicious waffle station! These specialty stations are located either just outside or just inside the Assisted Living Dining Room, for dining convenience. As we continue to improve our dining program, we look forward to other updates and new services.

Here's to warmer months coming soon!

Looking forward to see you all around Forest Hills,

January 2017 Ceca Award Winner
Rose Teasley

Congratulations to Rose Teasley on winning the January 2017 Ceca Award! Last month we celebrated her award at Forest Hills with some of the nice things her peers had to say about her:

"Rose is awesome - she was aware of a staffing concern, gave up her day off, and came into work without being called or prompted just in case there was a shortage. Rose is quiet and unassuming but her presence and integrity shows in her caring for our residents but also for her coworkers."

"Rose is a very pleasant person. Very cheerful with the residents and a true team player."

"I nominate Rosetta for this Ceca Award for her consistent attention to all the residents. She is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a resident is safe and comforted especially if the resident is disoriented. On many occasions, I see Rosetta escorting a resident who has turned a wrong corner, letting the resident know she is safe. Rosetta is more than deserving of this Ceca Award."

"Rosetta is being nominated today for the Ceca Award because of the hard work she does. She will go the extra mile just to make sure her residents are taken good care of. She is proactive when it comes to her job."

Thank you to Rose for all you do for our residents and our community!
