"As long as you're green, you're growing.  As soon as you're ripe, you start to rot"

Ray Kroc

The ability to remain curious - to continue to grow, explore, and experience things - is a vital attribute to cultivate. The more we are willing to stretch out of our comfort zones, the more exciting things we will discover. Life long learning is something we must strive for, as it not only keeps us growing as Ray Kroc points out, it's good for our organizations and our own personal development.

This month, we're presenting three opportunities to stretch and expand our development.  We've got Renewal sessions in Calgary and Vancouver, and on the 31st we'll be uploading a Virtual Cracker Barrel focused on 'flexing' our colour energies to their best advantage. Details for these events are located below.

We've also got news about other upcoming events we've got planned, as well as some interesting articles we hope will interest you (and maybe even challenge you a bit).  So, we invite you to take five, and catch up on the latest news and information from Insights Learning and Development.
Virtual Cracker Barrel available March 31

Dialing UP - Dialing DOWN

This virtual cracker barrel will review a set of slides practitioners can use in their adapting and connecting sessions to help give people some practical ideas about how to 'dial up' or 'dial down' each of the colour energies.

This pre-recorded session will be available to practitioners March 31 on the Client Practitioner Resource page of our website.
 Exploring Leading Teams

Last month, Dan Lytle - a Client Practitioner with Alberta Health Services - joined Insight's own Cathy Anderson for a discussion about using Insights Discovering Team Effectiveness to help leaders develop awareness, knowledge and improved leadership skills.  AHS has been working with Insights to develop an innovative took-kit for leaders and Dan was happy to share their approach and some of the materials they've been using.

If you're a Client Practitioner who missed the chance to hear the live presentation, we've recorded it for you and it's available here.

If you'd like to learn more about this particular initiative, or to discuss Team or Leadership programs within your own organization, please contact our office.
Innovation House welcomes Economy Secretary

Scottish Government Economy Secretary Keith Brown visited Insights' new office, Innovation House, in Dundee on Wednesday, March 1st.

The visit came as Insights gave its support to the Scottish Government's announcement of a new innovation and investment hub in London, which will provide Scottish companies with a place to meet customers, target new markets and secure investment.

Insights Chief Executive Andy Lothian said: "Insights is a really successful global organisation going through a period of significant growth. We have a strong and effective base in Dundee and a global presence, however we can't have a base everywhere. Having access to a fantastic facility like the new hub in London will help us connect with clients from the UK and Europe, and create links with other like-minded businesses that are equally committed to global innovation and growth."

Economy Secretary Keith Brown gets a hands-on look at Insights Discovery at Innovation House last Wednesday
Mr Brown was able to experience first-hand some of the innovative products Insights uses as it works with the world's biggest companies, helping individuals, teams, and leaders increase self-awareness, improve relationships, and achieve real breakthroughs on pressing business issues.  He also discussed with employees based in the recently opened Innovation House, how their teams are contributing to Insights' year-on-year growth, by building amazing customer relationships and using customer insight to inform product innovation and development.

Insights Chief Operating Officer Fiona Logan said: "We were delighted Mr Brown chose to make the announcement about the Scottish Government's new innovation and investment hub while visiting our new building in Dundee - which is also all about facilitating collaboration, innovation and outstanding customer relationships. Companies just like Insights could really benefit from this fantastic new space in London, as they look to expand into the global marketplace."
She added: "Mr Brown's visit was also a great opportunity for us to tell an influential audience about how we're innovating, growing and making a positive difference in the world as we do so."
