Reminder: REGISTRATION REQUIRED for Spring Membership Meeting & Green Fleets Award Celebration

The KCFC Spring Membership Meeting will be held March 17 at The Foundry at Glassworks. This meeting will include the presentation of the Green Fleets of the Bluegrass awards. First Responders from Across Kentucky Training 
in Louisville Today

First Responders from all over Kentucky are at the Kentucky Derby Museum today to receive Safety Training for  Alternative  Fuel Vehicles. This free training, sponsored by KCFC, is offered by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium and is designed to "train the trainer" on how to safely deal with alternative fuel vehicles that have been involved in an accident.

Proposed KY House Bill 536 Would Affect 
Natural Gas Vehicles

Summary of HB 536:
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 152 to create a fund and award rebates to commercial or governmental entities that purchase, lease, or convert vehicles in their fleet to burn natural gas fuels; specify that Energy and Environment Cabinet would oversee the program and report on its activities; create a new section of KRS 141 to provide a tax credit for a taxpayer that constructs fueling infrastructure for vehicles that burn natural gas fuels; amend KRS 141.0205 to conform; appropriate $2 million in the next two fiscal years for the fund and rebates.
