Hi everybody! Can you believe it's spring already? That means time to think about Easter! This year Easter is SUNDAY, APRIL 8. If you are thinking of ordering online, now is the time!

"Wspaniaŀa Zima"

I must admit, here in the Northeast, this winter has been one for the record books. Take a look at our window art that we painted way back in December. A snowman is holding a winter scarf. Do you see what it says on the scarf? "Wspaniaŀa Zima" or "Terrific Winter". And it certainly was!

We have been selected as finalists, and now we need your help to win the contest! All you need is an email address! Voting ends March 21, so please hurry, and tell your friends!

New York vs. Chicago

Did you hear the news? New York City has surpassed Chicago as the largest Polish city in the US, with 55,000 Polish immigrants versus 46,000 in the Windy City. We're happy to be riding this demographic trend. Polish food and Polish culture are thriving in the New York City metro area, and we're proud to be ranked alongside Chicago as a cultural hub of all things Polish.

Pączki Day

On February 16 we celebrated "Tŀusty Czwartek" or "Pączki Day" just like they do in Poland -- by making thousands of Polish donuts! This feast marks the last Thursday before Lent and is associated with the celebration of Carnival. Poles and Eastern Europeans everywhere share this popular, and tasty tradition!

St. Patrick's Day

This weekend is good fun: March 17 is St. Patrick's Day! We are proud to celebrate hand in hand with the Irish, with whom Poles share an immigrant tradition of hard work, family and good food. In honor of these values, we offer our St. Patrick's Day Menu, the highlight of which is our new Corned Beef and Cabbage Pierogi!

You'll love this fun and delicious combination of cultures! Traditional chewy pierogi shells stuffed with hand-cut strips of authentic corned beef brisket mixed with freshly-cooked barrel sauerkraut and just a dash of coarse-ground Polish mustard. Perfect with a lashing of Thousand Island Dressing! Click here for some pictures of our in-store tasting held on St. Patrick's Day! A Piast exclusive! Available through the month of March only.
