Hello World Cup Parents!
The past month has been a busy one for World Cup!
Our Boys Team had two
major competitions back to back as did some of our Girls Team.
Following the Boys' meet at the Brian Babcock Invitational, they
participated in the Beast of the East at Hotshots Gymnastics on Long Island.
Many boys came away with individual event titles. Our youngest competitor,
Dylan Davenport, won the Level 5 All Around competition while also taking
1st on Floor, Parallel Bars and High Bar. He was the youngest gymnast
competing in his Level.
Our other All Around Champion, Curtis Bett, almost
swept all of the event titles in Level 9. Curtis won Floor, Pommel Horse,
Rings, Parallel Bars and High Bar. The Level
10 Team placed 2nd. Coach Bob and Coach Jason were pleased with the team's
results. It's still early in the season and we are working out all of the
kinks.
Last week, members of our Girls Team escaped the (first) Nor'Easter and made
their way to sunny West Palm Beach Florida, for their first ever trip to the
Tim Rand Invitational. Coach Matt and Coach Jenna were overall very pleased
with how our Girls performed at the Rand Invitational. The competition is
at another level whenever you travel out of state, let alone region, and
Florida was no exception! When our girls weren't competing, they were
soaking up the sun at the beach and pool! The fun in the sun was
short-lived, however, as the Team returned home and could not escape the
next Nor'Easter.

The two hour event will be Willy Wonka themed, so get ready to explore our factory! It's fun for the whole family, as you'll see demonstrations by some of our Team Gymnasts, and you'll have free time to rotate around the gym and try out some different stations and apparatuses. There will be food, snacks, tattoos, food projects, arts and crafts, and more!
