Dear Friends,
I just returned from taking a pastor and his wife on a visit to Mt. Calvary, an inner city church that GFAGC partners with. This church is located in the highest crime area in Detroit and is surrounded by burned out abandoned homes. The church is immaculate and inside a beautiful gym sits idle. Sadly it has only been used for the GFAGC Christmas Gift distribution and GFAGC Easter Fair in 2014. I asked the gentleman who gave us the tour who else helps this church reach out or do anything and he said, "No one...except Gifts For All God's Children". We are it and this is not the only church or ministry we work with where we are it. Without the help of GFAGC many front line ministries would be unable to connect with at-risk children and their families.
In two weeks Mt. Calvary will again be welcoming Headstart and neighborhood families to our GFAGC Easter Fair. Over 175 children are registered so far plus adults! The local police department will join us as we partner with Mt. Calvary this year. There will be puppets, food, crafts, games, egg dying, cupcake decorating and most importantly each person will be told and shown that Jesus loves them. They will hear how Jesus died for them and rose again on Easter morning and how He will come back again one day. The Easter message---a message of hope.
Thank you for helping GFAGC reach out. Thank you for praying for us and the children and the front line ministries. Please, please continue to pray and to support us in any way you can. We are making a difference.
He is risen---He is risen indeed!
Have a blessed Easter,
Patti
