* March 26 in Greens Farms, Connecticut: Alliance co-founder and Director of Programs Joan Almon will be speaking on "The Power of Play" at the Greens Farms Academy. The talk is free and open to the public. Read more here.

* March 27 in Newtown, Connecticut: Joan Almon will lead a storytelling and puppetry event for children and families at the Resiliency Center.

* April 10 in St. Cloud, Minnesota: Joan Almon will deliver the keynote address at the 2014 MNAFEE Family & Early Childhood Education Conference. Her talk is entitled "Strengthening Children's Play-based Learning: The Role of the Early Childhood Educator."

April 10-13: The ACEI Global Summit will be held in Vancouver. Working in partnership with ACEI on the Decade for Childhood program, Alliance executive director Linda Rhoads will lead a session on leadership and advocacy. She will also co-facilitate a plenary program to engage participants in action planning based on ideas gleaned from the summit.

* May 7 in Chicago: Inspiring Nature Play in Spaces Large and Small. Registration is now open for this workshop, sponsored by our friends in the Alliance for Early Childhood, together with Chicago Wilderness and the Chicago Botanic Garden. Joan Almon will give the keynote speech.
