March at the French Market:
There is so much happening at the French Market this month! We're thrilled to kick-off our NEW Saturday Farmers Market this month and bring you our annual St. Joseph's Day Celebration.

 
Making a Jazz Gumbo
Friday March 6th @ Farmers Market Stage
2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m.
This monthly series is produced in partnership with the New Orleans Jazz National Historic Park and will feature pianist Richard Scott, percussion by Matt Hampsey and a live cooking demonstration of chicken and sausage gumbo by Deborah Etienne of Lafayette.
 
**NEW**  Saturday Farmers Market
Saturday, March 7th @ Farmers Market and all Saturdays following:  March 14, March 21, March 28th and year-round!
10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
We are excited to announce the Saturday Farmers Market at the French Market! Join the French Market as we return to our roots by offering the best fresh produce, seafood, preserves, breads and baked goods and prepared foods New Orleans has to offer. The Saturday market will continue as a weekly event March 14th, 21st, and 28th and will include a cooking demonstration at 11:00a.m.
 
Kids Swing and Sing
Saturday, March 14th @ Jazz Park
12:30p.m. to 1:30p.m.
Kids of all ages are invited to come to this interactive concert featuring Jayna Morgan. This event will take place in conjunction with Build by Ear Workshop.
 
Build by Ear Workshop
Saturday, March 14th @ Jazz Park
11:30a.m. to 2:00p.m.
A monthly workshop developed by PlayBuild, to show kids how music, architecture and a little creativity can be used to reimagine the world around us.
 
Annual St. Joseph's Day Celebration
Sunday March 15th @ Farmer's Market
10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
Enjoy live music, authentic Italian food and a St. Joseph's day alter prepared by the Portera Sisters who can be reached at 985-764 0291

Kilts of Many Colours Pipe Band
Tuesday, March 17th @ French Market
11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.
The group will perform in the French Market district on St. Patrick's Day, beginning at the Flea Market and ending at the Upper Pontalba on Jackson Square.
 
America's Food Fest
March 28 @ French Market
11:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.
 
March 29 @ French Market
11:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.
Enjoy a taste of America's most celebrated dishes, all within the four blocks of the French Market.
