Prairie State Legal Services will present the basics of a tax return (1040) and discuss filing status, exemptions, dependency, and child-related tax credits. They will provide information on local VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) clinics that offer free tax preparation for low-moderate income individuals and families.
