Community Health Endowment Knows "Place Matters"

In 2015, the Community Health Endowment gave Lincoln new insight into health in our community with the Place Matters Community Mapping project, a series of maps that allow people to visualize demographic, socioeconomic, and health indicators on the census tract level.

This year, CHE is updating the Place Matters project and will share the results of that update with the community at its Annual Meeting on May 31, 2017, at 3 p.m. at the Bryan East Plaza Conference Center.  Read more.

Nebraska Physicians Cancer Screening Initiative Promotes Screening

Physicians Come Together In a Collaborative Effort

Physicians in several Nebraska communities have been participating over the past year in Nebraska Physicians Cancer Screening Initiative, a project created to save lives through early detection of breast and colon cancers.  Participating clinics encouraged and promoted screening among their patients, verifying cancer screening status during appointments.  Clinics also reached out to patients who hadn't been seen in a year or more to remind them of the need for screening.  The project is being managed by Partnership for a Healthy Lincoln.  Learn more about colon cancer screening.
