Margie's Print Tip for February 21, 2012

Thanks for subscribing to Margie's Print Tips, written to build bridges in the graphic arts & media industries.

By the time you read this, I'll be traveling to Atlanta, DC and NYC to visit potential colleges for a certain 17-year-old son. J's got good schools in his sights, and I know this coming year will be an interesting one. My fingers are crossed, and I'm preparing myself to deal with his moving away. (Pass the tissues, please!)

I wanted to share a little video I did for our PBI BOSTON “educational extravaganza.” Honest to Pete, I can't believe we got three powerhouse speakers for April 11th.

If you're a print buyer, designer, or marketer, you shouldn't miss this one-of-a-kind show.

Until next week!

Eye-Poppin' Printed Applications

Back in November, I attended a terrific NEDMA event (New England Direct Marketing Association; I'm a proud member!). One session was all about breakthroughs in direct mail. Soon after, I wrote a Print Tip called How Direct Mail Packs a Punch in 7 Ways - thanks to Karen McCormick of Fulfillment Express, who presented in that session.

Another speaker was Kevin Gilligan, VP of Sales for Structural Graphics in Essex, CT. The samples Kevin showed us were remarkable in a number of ways. I had to follow up and learn more about his company's specialty.
