City of Miami Voting on City Ordinance to Limit Boat Storage Visibility at Residences - TAKE ACTION NOW!
The City of Miami is considering an ordinance that addresses street-front recreational boat storage visibility (excluding waterfront storage/dockage) at residences in the City of Miami.

The ordinance is set to be heard at the next City Commission meeting TOMORROW - Thursday, May 24, 2012.

The Marine Council feels this ordinance is overly restrictive and will adversely affect the average boater.  We strongly urge the City Commission to not adopt this ordinance as proposed.  In these challenging economic times, we feel that this is not the time to impose additional restrictions on the average boater.  With fuel prices and dockage rates at an all time high, forcing boaters to move their boats out of their yards will only add an unnecessary financial burden and force these family boaters out of the sport.

The Marine Council urges you to please reach out to your Commissioner TODAY and express your concerns with this proposed ordinance.  Below is a link to find your representative and their contact information.
