Your next opportunity to provide feedback on the updated City of Reno Master Plan is coming up! Over the past year, you’ve provided input on the goals and policies for the master plan. Now, we want to hear from you on the draft implementation plan.
This part of the plan outlines the steps needed to execute the master plan policies over the next 10-20 years, ultimately bringing the community’s vision for Reno to life. The section details high priority initiatives to tackle in the next 1-2 years and provides a comprehensive list of other implementation strategies, including the anticipated timing and resources needed for each step.
We invite you to join us at our open houses on July 25 and July 26. We will introduce the implementation plan during a short presentation, and then you can visit stations and learn more about this section of the master plan. Both open houses will cover the same information, so feel free to choose the night that works best for you. This is the perfect opportunity to review the implementation strategies, get any questions you may have answered, and provide your input. The Reno City Council and Reno Planning Commission also will be reviewing the implementation strategies next month, and you are invited to those meetings as well.
While the implementation plan will be the primary focus at upcoming events, we will be releasing a full draft of the updated master plan in mid-July. This first draft will reflect much of the input received to date, and we are excited for this milestone. Keep an eye out for the release of the draft plan in a few weeks!
Below are the details of the July ReImagine Reno events. We encourage you to attend and provide your valuable and much appreciated feedback as we enter the final stages of updating the master plan. Thank you for your continued support, enthusiasm, and engagement throughout this process.
