APPLES
QUALITY: GOOD
SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets are steady with ample volumes being seen from new Washington crop. Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, and Red Delicious Apples are on the market. Granny Smith crop continues to be dominated by small sizes. Braeburn, Envy, Honeycrisp, Opal, and Pacific Rose varieties are also available.   

ASPARAGUS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

The market is high as volume declines. Quality remains very good with straight, tender stalks and tight tips.


AVOCADOS QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady, particularly for 60ct and smaller sizes. Mexican supplies are becoming more plentiful. Quality is best out of Mexico with high oil content, creating creamy texture and nutty flavoring. 


BERRIES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Markets remain unsettled as Blueberries, Blackberries, Raspberries and Strawberries continue transitions to other regions. A wide range of quality continues to be seen. Rains could heavily impact strawberry production this week in Salinas and Oxnard.

BROCCOLI
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT
The market is easing. Weather has improved in all regions, increasing supplies. The Arizona desert region harvests (Yuma, Arizona) have started. Quality is improving.

CARROTS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is leveling out. Jumbos remain tight, but supplies should steadily increase within the next week or so when the new growing regions begin production. 


CAULIFLOWER
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is easing as quality and supply improve out of the Salinas Valley, AZ and CA desert regions.


CELERY
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is gaining strength as demand increases due to Thanksgiving. Quality is fair to good. 


CUCUMBERS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market continues gain strength as supplies out of Nogales steadily decline. New fields are expected to begin within the next week, but supplies will likely remain tight for the next 1-2 weeks. Quality remains good overall. 

EGGPLANT
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market fairly steady.  Supply in Coachella is still fairly light, however,  Mexican volumes are  expected to increase as more growers begin to harvest.

GRAPES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Gaining strength as domestic grapes wrap up. Additionally, high temperatures and rains have led Central Valley growers to begin picking and packing what they have left to ensure better quality.  


LETTUCE
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Romaine as well as all leaf items have remained unchanged from the previous week while Iceberg market begins to show signs of softening. Growers are in transition to Yuma. 



LEMONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market continues to gain strength as supplies of smaller sized fruit tighten. This trend will continue until San Joaquin Valley ramps up production in December. Quality remains good.  

LIMES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

M arket is gaining strength as the industry expects volumes to decline over the next few weeks due to challenging growing conditions. Scarring and discoloration are decreasing yields

MELONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Cantaloupe & Honeydew are much better with a good run of sizes. Jumbo cantaloupe are still short on the West Coast with plenty of all other sizes. Watermelon is level; Mexican supplies are expected to remain plentiful for several weeks. Quality ranges from good to very good.



ONIONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains steady. Yellow and Super Colossals are expected to be lighter this season. Quality is good on all colors. 


ORANGES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is steady. California Navel season is underway, but size is below normal with Choice Navels being very limited.


PEPPERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market remains active as Green Bell supplies tighten out of Coachella and Nogales and demand begins to exceed supply on Red Bells as they transition. Quality has declined. 


PINEAPPLES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains steady. Quality remains good.


POTATOES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with good supply and quality being seen for most varieties. Norkotahs have been harvested with good sizing and quality being seen. Burbanks are are limited due to late harvest and additional time needed in storage. 


SQUASH
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with good supply and quality. Mexican volumes have declined, but continue to outpace demand. 



TOMATOES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Minimal volume is available in the U.S. due the damage caused by Hurricane Irma. Central Mexico has some vine-ripened fruit available, but supply will not meet the expected demand. Markets are expected to remain escalated on all varieties through December.
