APPLES
QUALITY: GOOD
SUPPLY: MODERATE

Red Delicious remain fairly active as new crop volumes continue to be light. Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and Galas are steady with better availability; sizes larger than 100ct are limited. Fujis steady as supplies improve (peaking 88/100ct), as are Honeycrisps (peaking 64ct-100ct).  

ASPARAGUS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is steadying as supplies from Mexico and Peru continue to improve on a daily basis. Large sizes will likely remain limited through the end of the year.

AVOCADOS QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is easing as demand decreases, however, larger fruit remains limited. Quality is excellent. 

BERRIES
QUALITY: POOR SUPPLY: SHORT

Supplies of blueberries continue to be impacted by the transition to South America. Blackberry, Raspberry and Strawberry markets are easing as temperatures cool, but quality remains an issue.

BROCCOLI
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT
Market remains extremely active due to limited supply and weather conditions. Quality issues include brown bead, pin rot, under-sizing and immaturity.

CARROTS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains somewhat active as shippers continue to struggle in achieving jumbo sizing.


CAULIFLOWER
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is once again active due to supply shortages and weather conditions. Quality has declined with poor condition and defects, including discoloration and inconsistent sizing.


CELERY
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady, but quality remains a concern. Inconsistent sizing, discoloration are among the most commonly reported defects.


CUCUMBERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is steady as supplies become available from multiple regions, however, quality remains fair.

EGGPLANT
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady as volume and quality continue to improve. 

GRAPES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady as quality for both red and green seedless remains good. The majority of harvesting is expected to wrap up in CA by the end of this month. 


LETTUCE
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets remain active as supplies of Green and Red Leaf tighten further and heat and insect damage disrupt Romaine yields. Quality remains fair for all with ribbiness, seeder, insect damage and twisting being reported. Relief is not expected to be seen until Huron (2-3 weeks out) and Yuma (5-7 weeks out) begin.


LEMONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market continues to settle as supply and quality improve thanks to the new crop. Quality is good.  

LIMES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is fairly steady as volumes increase out of CA and Mexico. Quality has improved.

MELONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Honeydew and Cantaloupe markets are steady with good supply. The quality of CA melons remain a concern, but AZ should begin ramping up within the next 2-3 weeks. Watermelon volumes remain light out of CA, but Mexican supplies seem to be picking up the slack with good quality being seen. 


ONIONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains steady as WA and ID beginning their new crop. Yellow and Super Colossals are expected to be lighter this season.


ORANGES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Demand exceeds supply on smaller fruit (88-138ct); this will continue to be the trend for the remainder of the season. 

PEPPERS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady as supply and quality improve during now ideal weather conditions.


PINEAPPLES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady. Quality remains good with high Brix levels being seen.


POTATOES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady. Burbanks will be widely available by late October. Reds, Whites, Yukons and Yams all have good quality and supply. 


SQUASH
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is fairly steady despite steadily decreasing supplies as the northern regions wrap up for the season. Zucchini continues to be more readily available than yellow squash, though both have been reported to be impacted by insect pressure. 



TOMATOES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Cherry and Grape Tomato markets are leveling out as demand softens. Roma and Round markets remain somewhat active as supplies remain lighter, however, consistent Mexican shipments coupled with lower demand continues to provide relief.
