APPLES
QUALITY: GOOD
SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets are relatively unchanged with good availability being seen for the majority of varieties. Gala demand is growing and limiting supplies of smaller fruit. Granny Smiths continue to be very limited on sizes 88ct and larger.  Freezing weather is becoming a concern as harvesting wraps up.

ASPARAGUS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

The market is steadying with good quality and sizing being seen despite lower volumes. Market is expected to become extremely active mid-December though January. 

AVOCADOS QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is somewhat active due to limited harvesting over the holiday week and heightened demand. 

BERRIES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Markets are finally beginning to settle, but supplies remain limited due to the continued transition efforts. High humidity and rain have led to a decline in quality for both Blackberries and Raspberries. Strawberry quality has improved, but sizing remains a concern.  

BROCCOLI
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE
The market continues to ease as supply increases amid decreasing demand. Desert heat has raised concerns over brown bead and hollow core, while cooler weather in Mexico may hamper production. 


CARROTS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market continues to ease now that the new crop has begun with reports suggesting improved quality and availability.

CAULIFLOWER
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market continues to ease as quality and availability steadily increase.


CELERY
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is easing as supplies increase amid decreasing demand. Quality is also seeing signs of improvement.

CUCUMBERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is steadying as demand flattens. Supplies have improved out of Mexico now that the new fields have begun production. Quality is fair to good. 

EGGPLANT
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steadying as supplies continue to improve out of both Coachella and Mexico. Quality is good, but sizing has been impacted by heat.

GRAPES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market continues to gain strength as domestic grapes wrap up. With the hopes of extending supplies of Red grapes through December, shippers have begun slowing movement. Offshore product should begin ramping up in volume by mid-December. Quality remains good for both Red and Green varieties.


LETTUCE
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets continue to ease as supplies of Green Leaf, Red Leaf, Romaine, and Iceberg grow. Quality remains mixed. Mechanical damage and dehydration remain key concerns for Spring Mix. 


LEMONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Demand is exceeding supplies of 140ct and larger. Central and southern CA along with the desert region are currently harvesting.

LIMES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

M arket is steady with adequate supplies being seen out of Mexico. Quality remains good.

MELONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets for Cantaloupe, Honeydew and Watermelon remain steady with increased offshore melons being seen last week. Overall quality remains excellent. 


ONIONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains steady with good supply. Yellow and Super Colossals are expected to be lighter this season. Quality is good on all colors. 


ORANGES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is active as demand exceeds supplies of 88ct and smaller. Quality remains good. 

PEPPERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market remains active as Green Bell supplies tighten out of Coachella and Nogales and demand continues to exceed supply on Red Bells as they transition. Quality is fair.


PINEAPPLES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains steady. Quality remains good.


POTATOES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with good supply and quality being seen for most varieties. Norkotahs have been harvested with good sizing and quality being seen. Burbank packing has increased.f


SQUASH
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with good supply and quality. Mexican volumes have declined, but continue to outpace demand. 



TOMATOES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Minimal volume is available in the U.S. due the damage caused by Hurricane Irma. Central Mexico has some vine-ripened fruit available, but supply will not meet the expected demand. Markets are expected to remain escalated on all varieties through December.
