APPLES
QUALITY: GOOD
SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets remain relatively unchanged as harvesting comes to an end. Larger sizes (88ct and larger) continue to be limited for most varieties. Quality is good overall. 

ASPARAGUS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

The market is steadying with good quality and sizing being seen despite lower volumes. Market is expected to become extremely active mid-December though January. 

AVOCADOS QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is active as supplies tighten out of Mexico with growers limiting harvesting activities. Domestically strong CA winds have caused fruit to fall and fires have reportedly consumed acreage. Quality remains good.  

BERRIES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Markets are finally beginning to settle, but supplies remain limited. Quality has improved overall, but Ventura County fires have affected the Strawberry industry.

BROCCOLI
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE
The market is steady as quality improves out all three growing regions. Freezing temperatures could impact production in central Mexico. 


CARROTS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady as new fields begin to see better sizing. Quality remains good. 

CAULIFLOWER
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is once again seeing some volatility as demand grows. Quality remains good. 


CELERY
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with good quality despite occasional reports of undersized and undercut product.

CUCUMBERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market is gaining strength as shipments decline out of Nogales. Expect supplies to be lower until new fields reach full production within the next week or so. Quality is fair to good. 

EGGPLANT
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steadying as supplies continue to improve out of both Coachella and Mexico. Fresno is wrapping up. Quality is good.

GRAPES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market continues to gain strength as domestic grapes wrap up. With the hopes of extending supplies of Red grapes through December, shippers have begun slowing movement. Offshore product should begin ramping up in volume by mid-December. Quality remains good for both Red and Green varieties.


LETTUCE
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: MODERATE

Iceberg, Red Leaf, Green Leaf and Romaine markets are steady with improved quality and supply being seen. Lingering defects include oversizing, mechanical damage and ribbiness along with some tip burn for Iceberg. Spring Mix market is also steady, though quality remains fair with mechanical damage and dehydration being the most common defects reported.

LEMONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Demand is exceeding supplies of 140ct and larger. Central and southern CA along with the desert region are currently harvesting.

LIMES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

M arket is steady with adequate supplies being seen out of Mexico. Quality remains good.

MELONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Markets for Cantaloupe, Honeydew remain steady with excellent quality. Cantaloupes are trending larger while Honeydews are running heavier on 6ct. Watermelon supplies are short as Mexico begins its transition to central growing regions (expected to begin later this month).




ONIONS
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains steady with good supply. Yellow and Super Colossals are expected to be lighter this season. Quality is good on all colors. 


ORANGES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: SHORT

Market remains active as 113ct and 138ct continue to be extremely limited. Larger fruit is expected to be the norm throughout Navel season. Quality remains good.

PEPPERS
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Market remains active as Green Bell supplies tighten out of Coachella and Nogales with Jumbo and XL sizes very limited. Demand continues to exceed supply on Red Bells as they transition. Quality is fair.


PINEAPPLES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market remains steady. Quality remains good.


POTATOES
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with good supply and quality being seen for most varieties. Norkotahs have been harvested with good sizing and quality being seen. Burbank packing has increased. New crop Yams have begun shipping with good quality being seen. 


SQUASH
QUALITY: GOOD SUPPLY: MODERATE

Market is steady with good supply and quality. Mexican volumes have declined, but continue to outpace demand. 



TOMATOES
QUALITY: FAIR SUPPLY: SHORT

Markets are expected to remain escalated on all varieties through December as North American shortage continues.
