Apples/Pears
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Apples:  Red Delicious (peaking 72/80/88ct) are somewhat volatile on all sizes with light availability on fancy-grade fruit.  Granny-Smiths (peaking 88-113ct) market remain somewhat steady. Galas (peaking 88-113ct) are limited as the new crop ramps up. Quality remains good among all varieties.

Pears:  Market is unchanged. D'anjous are steady with increased demand (peaking 70/80/90ct), but supplies are becoming limited as their season come to an end. Bartletts are also steady (peaking 90/100/110ct). Imported Bosc's (peaking 70-100ct) are remain steady. Quality is good among all varieties.
 
Asparagus
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market somewhat volatile as Central Mexico wraps up and volume out of Peru declines. Northern Baja and Mexico are beginning production. Quality remains good. 

Avocados
Quality: Good
Supply: Short
    
The market is mostly unchanged. California harvest is in its seasonal decline, with the crop still skewed towards smaller fruit. Mexico has increased import volumes (mostly smaller sizing) now that the new crop season has started. Quality remains good.

Broccoli
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market is flat with substantial supply. Quality is good out of all regions.

Cauliflower
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market remains steady, though supplies are steadily dwindling. Quality remains good with minimal reports of defects.
 
Cantaloupes
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
  
Market is steady as demand declines. Quality remains excellent out of the West Side with 12ct and 15ct being the most readily available. 

Carrots
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market is steady on all sizes. Bakersfield continues to produce a healthy percentage of Jumbos. 
 
Celery
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market remains flat. Salinas and Santa Monica are in full production. Quality out of both regions is good.
     
Cucumbers
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate

Market is steady despite higher demand and less frequent harvesting due to rains.
 
Eggplant
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate

Market once again steady with good volumes increasing on all sizes. Overall quality and condition have improved.
 
Grapes
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate

Green: Market is steady, with adequate supplies. Quality remains good. 

Red: Market is steadying, as supplies improve. Volumes of Crimson, Magenta and Scarlet Royals are expected to be abundant. Quality is good.
 
Honeydews
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market is steady. The West Side continues to provide good supplies as demand decreases. Overall quality remains great with optimal sugar levels.

Iceberg
Quality: Fair
Supply: Moderate

Market is flat with adequate supplies being seen. Quality has improved overall (avg weight 42-48lbs).

Leaf Lettuce

Market is steady with good volumes being seen and declining demand. Minimal quality issues are being reported.

Lemons

Supply: Moderate

Market is fairly active with growing demand and supplies of 140/165/200/235ct tightening. Overall quality remains good with minimal issues being reported.
    
Limes

Supply: Short
 
Market remains somewhat volatile as strong demand continues to be seen across all sizes (110ct and 150ct most readily available). Crop is still peaking on smaller sizes (peaking 150ct). Quality remains good.
 
Onions

Supply: Moderate
 
Market is somewhat volatile as supplies of all colors begin their transition from California/New Mexico to Idaho/Washington. Overall quality overall remains good.
   
Oranges
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market remains steady as valencia (peaking 88/113/138ct) volumes increase and navels (peaking 56/72/88) wind down. Demand is growing for 113ct and 138ct as school begins. Some growers are still struggling to find labor for harvest. Overall quality remains good. 

Peppers (Colored)
Quality: Fair
Supply: Moderate
 
Market is fairly steady as Central and Southern California begin production. Overall quality is good, though reds continue to struggle with volume and blemishes caused by the heat.

Supply: Moderate
 
Market is steady with better supply. Quality is good.
 
Pineapples

Market remains somewhat steady, though supplies are declining. Lighter supplies expected throughout August and possibly into September.

Market is steady as new crop emerges in all growing areas (peaking 70ct). Quality is good throughout all regions with strong demand being seen. 

Squash

Market remains steady. Product is now shipping from Coachella Valley (mostly large Italian and Yellow being harvested). Quality continues to improve.
 
Strawberries
Quality: Good
Supply: Moderate
 
Market is gaining strength as production slows in Salinas and Watsonville. Cooler weather has reduced harvest estimates as adequate labor continues to be a concern. Berries are running smaller than usual at 18-28 berries per pound of clamshell. Quality continues to improve and is overall in good condition.

Supply: Moderate
 
Rounds - Market is somewhat active as schools begin session. Quality is good.
